Jordan Mais & the Rebelistic Band Reggae/Lovers Rock/Rock Steady

Jordan Mais and the Rebelistic band is a reggae/lovers rock/rock steady comprising of eight members.
Jordan Mais, lead singer of the group first professional recording was background vocals for recording artist Anthony Red Rose at Cell Block Recordings.

Since then however, he has recorded for many producers and record labels including; Gladstone Wright of Reflection label, Romeo Bucchanan of Dri ice Recording, Caveman Recording, Dwigs recordings, Real president music, Orrett Mcdonald of Jamhill Records, Jcannon Records, and Taggless Records. Included in these are collaborations with Artistes Camanchi and Dapper Daps.

After 12 years in the business this all rounder has stayed true to his cause and has been honored with some notoriety: a bronze medalist in 2003 JCDC school competition, top ten 2006 in Digicel Rising Stars, Top ten in the 2008 Tastee competition (national competitions), and numerous performances over the radio (live televised, and pre recorded) parties, weddings, and has performed for charity in the Mona rehabilitation for the disabled.

Musical director and Lead Keyboard player, Andrew O’Gilvie is a past student in Enda Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts where he holds a degree in Music Education. He is currently the music teacher at Calabar Infant Primary and Junior High School.

He listens to various types of music and genre; Jazz, Blues, R & B, Smooth Jazz, Gospel and Reggae just to name a few. Some of my influences are BB King, Muddy Walters , Eric Clapton Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, FourPlay, Phil Collins, Michael Bolton Just to name a few. He also composes his own music which is smooth includes Jazz and reggae.

Dave Collington-Davis, flautist and saxophone player also hold his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from The Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts, he is also member of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Jamaica. Dave has played at numerous weddings and events such as Lutan Fyah’s Birthday Bash (with the band Root Revealers) and Jamaica’s Annual Grand Gala. His passions include teaching and performing music.His motto for life is “Never give up…never back down from your goals”.

Horasha “Bamboo” Thompson is the Bass Guitar player, currently pursuing his degree in Jazz and Popular Music Studies at The Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts. He first played the Bass Guitar at church on open platforms.

He has done recordings at the legendaryvTuff Gong, Mikey Bennett Studio and worked with artist such as IWayne, Sizzla, Half Pint, Duane Stephenson, Fred Locks Mau Mau Warriors, Sister Scully, Glen Graham, Sister Pat and Jabez.

26 years old Keydon Elton Robinson from Bunker’s Hill Trelawny, grew up in church where he always sat at the front to have a better view of the drummer, he would patent the drummers’ moves by beating on his legs and stomping his feet. He further developed his craft listening to Carlton Barrett who was then Bob Marley’s drummer and quite a few others.

Keydon has had the privilege of playing for artists; Sister Pat, Nesbeth, Kevin Downswell and Jermaine Edwards just to name a few. “I have been playing music for over ten years. Music is my life, it takes my pain and hurt completely away, as Bob would say “one good thing about music when it hits you feel no pain”, stated the enthusiastic Drummer.

Vocalist Nickola Parchment started her singing endeavors in church as a child and went on to lead the choir there. She was apart of Digicel’s Rising Stars Competition in 2015.

Eskin Pryce is a 25 year old lover of music. He attended Papine High School where he entered the JCDC Festival competition of which he was awarded a gold medal. He was also apart of Bob Marley Music Festival and All Together Sing. Eskin has worked with musical engineer Charles Rockwell at 2DMP Studio alongside Peak Music, recording his original songs and further mastering the art to becoming the best all -round entertainer.

Hanna-Lisa Morgan-Williams has been singing at the age of three. Her passion continued through to Papine High school where she was an active member of the choir. She won three gold medals as vocalist at the JCDC Festival Competition. Hanna-Lisa later went on to being the lead singer of the One Drop RoutZ. She also headlined an event called “Music is the Healing”, which funding was raised to assist persons living with and affected by HIV AIDS.

Jordan, Andrew, Dave, Horasha, Keydon, Nickola, Eskin and Hanna-Lisa has come together to form the essential; Jordan Mais & the Rebelistic Band. The group has been together for over a year and has produced numerous tracks. These include “Pillow is Soak” and “True Love”.
